updated Tue Jul 19 2005 Call for Panels and WorkshopsSubmission DeadlinesThere are no submission deadlines. Panels and workshops are considered, approved, and scheduled on a first-come basis. When enough slots are filled, we will stop accepting. WorkshopsWorkshops are held on Thursday, October 6. There are two time slots:
You can request one or both slots depending on the needs of your material. We have discovered that workshop participants are generally willing to bring laptops for hands-on activities, such as learning Visual C++ or Dot Net. Unfortunately, this year we do not expect to have Internet available in the workshop rooms, but you are welcome to set up a local area network for your students if it seems appropriate. Attendence at workshops typically ranges from five to 30 highly-motivated participants. PanelsPanels are held on Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8. Typically we expect a minimum of three panelists, but there are always exceptions. Each member of the panel must register for the conference. Panels typically run for 60 or 90 minutes. Typically each panelist will speak to the topic for a few minutes. Then the floor is opened for questions. Sometimes a moderator is present. Attendence at panels typically ranges from 20 to 50 persons. Publication of HandoutsWorkshops and panels are not peer reviewed in the same sense that regular paper presentations are. However, the conference proceedings will publish non-reviewed handouts as appropriate. These generally include handouts for workshops and panels, and position papers from panelists, clearly marked as non-refereed in the conference proceedings, and not eligible for publication in ISEDJ. Questions and ProposalsSend email directly to colton@isecon.org with your proposal or questions. Approved proposals will be scheduled and posted immediately. To better understand and advertise your panel or workshop, we would like to receive
Current ScheduleThe draft conference schedule is posted here. Please note that this is a working schedule, subject to change, and that the papers under review will not be assigned time slots until fairly late in the process. Workshops and panels will be assigned time slots earlier in the process. Organized by: Please direct comments about this web page to webmaster at isecon dot org. |
