ISECON invites papers and other presentations of interest to the
Information Systems Educator community. Typical topics include, but
are not limited to: Accreditation, Capstone Experience, Distance
Learning Challenges and Solutions, Ethics, IS Education - Best
Practices, Keeping up with technology, Model Curriculum - Graduate,
Model Curriculum - Undergraduate, PhD Student Papers, Pedagogy,
Project Management, Security, and Service Learning.
Papers (Peer-Reviewed)
The 2006 Papers Chair is Dr. Thomas N. Janicki, Univ of North Carolina Wilmington.

The papers chair handles the review process for peer-reviewed
papers, as well as the ranking process by which journal papers are
selected. The actual scheduling of presentations is done by the
Program Chair.

June 30, 2006 - includes consideration for best paper
awards, consideration for proceedings publication, and consideration
for inclusion in ISEDJ (Information Systems Education Journal, a
peer-reviewed journal).
July 31, 2006 - includes consideration for proceedings
publication and consideration for inclusion in ISEDJ (Information
Systems Education Journal, a peerreviewed journal).
August 31, 2006 - includes consideration for proceedings
publication.
Other Presentations (Non-Reviewed)
The 2006 Program Chair is Dr. Alan
R. Peslak, Penn State.
The program chair handles scheduling of all conference events, and
approving of non-reviewed presentations. Non-reviewed presentations
include seminars, tutorials, workshops, panel discussions, and
occasionally papers submitted after the other deadlines.
Please communicate directly with the Program Chair to propose or
discuss non-reviewed presentation ideas.
All presentations, including peer-reviewed papers and non-reviewed
presentations, are expected to provide in electronic form some
printable artifact for inclusion in the proceedings. For non-reviewed
presentations this is frequently an abstract, summary statement,
position statement, or set of handouts that were provided to
attendees.
Format of Presentations (generally):
-Paper sessions will have three to four papers presented in each
session, giving each presenter 20 minutes plus 5 for questions.
-Time for all other presentation types is negotiated individually.
-Workshop presentations will be given a full 90 minute session.
-Panel sessions will provide an opportunity for three or more presenters
to speak in a more open and conversational setting with conference
attendees. Submissions for these 90 minute sessions should include the
name, department, affiliation, and email address of each panelist in
addition to a description of the presentation and the title page.
