The 2011 ISECON Conference features papers, cases,
workshops and panels to assist academicians in
improving the discipline of IS education.

Wilmington NC

Wilmington NC is the host city of the 2011 ISECON conference. It is on the southeast coast of NC and just 10 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

The host hotel is on the downtown river walk and easy walking distance to over 30 restaurants and historic homes. You can stroll along the river walk, take a ghost tour, enjoy a horse and buggy ride or visit the USS NC Battleship.

ISECON’s first conference was in 1982 and is the largest continuously running conference for IS Educators. ISECON also sponsors the ISEDJ (Information Systems Educators Journal). Authors may submit their manuscripts to both ISECON and ISEDJ when submitting to the conference.  The conference award winning papers are automatically accepted into ISEDJ.

ISECON is held in conjunction with CONISAR 2011

  • ISECON focuses on IS Education. CONISAR focuses on IS Applied Research. Registrants for CONISAR can freely attend ISECON functions and vice versa.
